Frequently Asked Questions
Can I start with Pinwheel Circle plan and upgrade later?
Yes! You don't have to decide on a calling plan when you order. If you choose Pinwheel Circle during setup, you can upgrade at any time.
If I change from Pinwheel Circle to a paid plan, does my phone number change?
Pinwheel Circle plan devices have a Pinwheel Code, rather than a full 10-digit phone number. If you upgrade to a paid plan, you'll receive a full 10-digit phone number to share with non Pinwheel Home devices. However, your Pinwheel Code will still work for other Pinwheel Homes.
Do I get a real phone number?
Pinwheel Circle devices have a shorter Pinwheel Code, rather than a full 10-digit phone number. If you upgrade to a paid plan, you'll have a Pinwheel Code to share with other Pinwheel Home users, plus as full 10-digit phone number to share with external users.
Can I manage who my child can communicate with, even with Pinwheel Circle calls?
Yes. Nobody can communicate with your Pinwheel Homes (incoming or outgoing calls) unless they are an approved contact, event if they're a Pinwheel Home user.
Can I call other Pinwheel devices on the Pinwheel Circle Plan?
No. Pinwheel mobile phones and watches require calling a full 10-digit phone number, rather than a Pinwheel Code, so you must have a paid plan to call or receive calls from them.
How does Pinwheel Home work with other Pinwheel devices?
You can manage all Pinwheel devices in the same Caregiver Portal and sync contacts between your devices.
In the future, we plan to link Pinwheel Homes with watches so kids can be connected at home and on the go.
Can I see call history in the parent app?
Yes! You can see incoming and outgoing calls, including whether they were blocked or went through.
